My husband, Ron, and I absolutely love love The breakfast house this restaurant every time we come to serve so we make sure we go to this restaurant. Wendy has done a phenomenal job putting such a wonderful establishment together. The food is amazing. The service is fantastic and the atmosphere is just simply lovely. I highly recommend for breakfast or lunch at the breakfast house i’ve tried many places, but this is by far the best

This little bungalow is full of personality, from the salt and pepper shakers to the colorful chairs and art on the walls, it was spectacular.
Our waitress Ciara’s was friendly and accommodating, she took the time to explain and describe menu items and went above and beyond. We ordered an omelette and pancakes which were delicious. In fact, everything was so good, we decided to revisit the following day and added two more to our party. Jazz, who was the hostess, greeted us and her personality was great and Flip, our waiter, did a fantastic job. On this visit we had Benedict and homemade corn beef hash which was out of this world.
If you’re visiting the Sarasota area, we would highly recommend this restaurant.
Can’t wait to go back.

I had the most fluffy and delicious pancakes ever! Lavender and lemon!
I sat outside at the charming patio. The umbrellas kept the sun away but still allowed for enough light to let the joy of the sun be present.
They have wifi, too, which I used.
I also had a grapefruit juice that even it was not made by them, it was loxal, and was surprised of its natural taste. Very refreshing!

We ordered uncle Harry's breakfast and a Mediterranean omelet. Breakfast was perfect! Everything was delicious and cooked perfectly. The portion sizes were just right. Our waitress was on top of filling our drinks and took very good care of us.

Ok.. we are staying the entire week in Sarasota and trying a dif place each day for breakfast, were up to 5, and so far, this place, The Breakfast House wins, we'll specifically for their pancakes. Wowowowowowowzers. Fluffy, a bit guey, but not. I mean... they dont sick up the syrup, IYKYK, they don't even need any, so easy amd perfect. Super cute ambiance, especially outside. Locally owned, go, won't regret it. Im asking a reel about this place bc it deserves it.

Wow! Just wow! From the sweet greeting we got, the great service and the food everything was fantastic! My partner who loves a good hash, had nothing but good thing to say about theirs! The potatoes tasted like they were cooked on an open flame (a very surprising and pleasant change from the usual), the grits were creamy and smooth and did not need anything else added to them (I'm a Cheesy grits girl, so that says a lot). The bacon was cooked perfectly!
Now the pancakes! We only got mini ones with our hearty breakfast, but they were spectacular. Fluffy and light but they also had a little crunch to them which made them perfect on my book! They were also served with REAL maple syrup (which coming from Maine, we recognize).
Lastly, the ambiance of this restaurant. The outside patio in the back is nicely covered and beautiful. The inside is bright and welcoming! You feel like you have stepped into your best friend's home who is the most loving person you have met. Also the little sign next to the bathroom in the ladies room brought a smile to my face. The owner(s) truly care and I would come back over and over again.

We had the most delightful breakfast at the breakfast house! My family went for breakfast this morning and loved it. The staff was so nice and friendly and made sure we had an excellent time. My family ordered the oatmeal, the French toast, omlette and the classic. The staff was also very caring about the allergies at our table. the biscuits were delicious. All of the food tasted fresh and flavorful, a perfect breakfast! A highlight was the staffs care for all the customers.

I love that there are still a few Mom and Pop breakfast places around like this, not many, but a few! The food here is great as well as the service. As mentioned in other reviews, it’s a nice little cozy atmosphere. The only thing I will say is that if you’re tall, it’s a bit of a pain having to duck under a lot of stuff to get around. Otherwise, this is everything you’d want from a great breakfast spot.

This place is my all time favorite place! The food is beyond delicious and very generous portions (I've never been able to eat everything) my favorite is the lemon lavender pancakes. I dont eat blueberries so they let me customize and never make me feel like I'm "that customer" if you know what I mean.
This is my HAPPY PLACE!! i do the happy food dance everytime i get that fist bite!

First time visit, that we actually got in to eat.. long lines and waits, usually in season. Beautiful breakfast and lunch menu make it hard to choose what to order. Many different kinds of Benedicts, sandwiches and omelets. We ordered a pesto Benedict with spinach and sun dried tomatoes and it was excellent. Hash and eggs and the 4 cheese quiche, all were prepared with love and tasted excellent. A nice place, must visit.
